Why, Oh, Why

For myself mostly. I enjoy all kinds of crafting, from crocheting and knitting to building costumes. I’ve tried pepakura and bondo to make things and just simple sewing. I’ve decided to post my collection and maybe a few instructions or tutorials here. I hope you can learn from them or just enjoy the pictures if you like.

Crafting can be a stressor or stress relief, it really just depends on how you look at it. If you enjoy the experience as I do and don’t stress about perfection, then you’ll have a marvelous time with this sort of hobby. If you want perfection, you’re looking in the wrong place. I certainly don’t have it. But what I do have is hours of fun and many finished products that I am proud of (and a few that went to the attic for safe hiding).

The pepakura I mentioned before was super exhausting. The knitting and sewing were super easy. I like challenging myself so every now and then I try something with a harder difficulty level. I think that is where I learn the most. If you push yourself, just a little, you will appreciate the finished product even more.

I do hope that you enjoy the posts and don’t be afraid to contact me with questions or comments.

The Great Pepakura

This was my first experience with pepakura. This method was extremely time-consuming. You have to print and cut out endless minuscule pieces and glue them together to get the three-dimensional figure. It was worth it because the finished product was pretty cool. I chose a Daedric armor helmet from the game The Elder Scrolls. I’ll probably be making another pepakura design so I’ll post it with more pictures and maybe some instructions as well.
